Getting closer to Christmas

It was nice to see this morning that a light dusting of snow was on the ground. Last time this year we were buried in snow and this year we are not supposed to have much (or anything) on the ground for Christmas. That will be weird! I can’t tell you the last time that we had a brown Christmas. I just hope that the small amount of snow that we did get, will stay until the 25th. It makes everything look so much prettier.

I spent the day making candy and Daryl worked for awhile cleaning out the Roadhouse and then getting our tractor. He brought it in awhile ago because something was leaking and he was worried what it would take to fix it. Well they pulled the motor and replaced the head gasket. I can’t remember just exactly what he was worried what ‘might’ be wrong with it – but I do know that he was happy that they didn’t find too much to fix. So he got the call today that it was done and off to the repair shop we went to pick the tractor up. He filled it up with fuel and he was happy to get the tractor with the loader back home.

Another platter and some small boxes of candy done!

Just a note to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and great New Year. I have to tell you that I have SO enjoyed reading your blog! I’ve laughed (dogs, chickens, cows, cushions, kitties), been amazed (painting in the heat of the summer!), and have been touched by many of your family’s moments.
    Merry Christmas!
